Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Now ,It's my turn. My name is Edgar, a high school student. I am very honored to be here to give you a speech. Also it's a good chance for me to improve my English. I hope I can make a good performance today. The topic of my speech is "After studying here".
Before I came here,I can never imagine that I can learn so much knowledge about other countries, which can't be got from my books in school. Three months ago, I took my first class. Unfortunately, I felt so embarrassed, because I even can't speak any words, though I know I really love English .
After that, I took some of my tutor's advice and previewed the lesson that I’ll learn. What’s more, In every class, I JUST try my best to say as much as possible. Now,I can only remember It's a really hard time. What’s worse, I had to go to my high school and went there at the same time.
After several weeks, I began to get used to the atmosphere in web .At least I'm not afraid to speak in front of my tutor and foreign teachers.
During web’s period,I found I had improved a lot, both physically and mentally. For example, how to be a confident person, how to plan for my future. And the most important is that I have learnt how to communicate with others, which is a necessary skill. Nowadays studying is not the only thing that we high school students should do, there are some more important things we have ignored.
First, I am grateful for my parents. They have spent so much money for me, but never ask for anything in return. I really know how hard it is to work on such living conditions.
Now It's time to introduce my tutor sally. It was she that led me to the right studying here. It was she that helped me deal with all kinds of annoying things. Also there are some other teachers that I appreciate, especially Laura and Anita. Of course, I like to take foreign teachers' classes. Anyway, thanks all of you!

2000年~2016年,考研英語(一)大作文連續考的都是圖畫作文,想要有意外基本是不可能的,考研大作文涉及的主題貼近社會生活,針砭時弊。在這給大家引用一下《京華時報》記者對原考研英語命題組組長、北京大學英語系王繼輝教授的專訪片段,以便大家對考研寫作命題有個總體認識。
首先,針對作文命題的規律,王教授這樣說:“考研英語的作文題目通常以一幅圖畫或一個圖表給出。在話題選擇上,命題人不會刻意貼近社會熱點話題,基本會選擇大家相對熟悉的話題,消除因背景知識不同帶來的差異,以確??荚嚨墓??!?/p>
其次,針對包含大作文的考研英語主觀題閱卷,王教授作了如此的介紹:“考研英語主觀題閱卷人的主體是高校的英語專業教師,閱卷工作一般在考后20天左右開始。近幾年基本采用試卷掃描后在電腦上評閱的方式,即一份試卷隨機由兩名閱卷人分別評判并給出成績,取平均值作為最終成績。如果兩名閱卷人所給分數差距過大,則由仲裁人進一步斟酌決定。作文正式閱卷前,閱卷組會從試題中隨機抽取樣例進行試評,根據‘評分原則’確定各檔次作文的基本特征,所有閱卷人達成共識后,閱卷工作才真正開始??佳杏⒄Z作文的評判包括內容與形式兩個方面。內容主要是看考生寫作時是否覆蓋了題目中提示的全部要點,形式則主要針對英語表達本身。考生要想得高分,必須堅守‘減少錯誤’和‘增加亮點’兩大原則?!?/p>
由此可知,寫作要拿到理想的分數,簡單而言,包括兩個方面:一是要切題,寫到要點;二是別一寫句子就犯低級錯誤,也別寫來寫去都是簡單句。話不多說,先給考生看一下真題到底長什么樣。下面就是2013年考研英語(一)大作文真題的圖畫。
那么,圖畫作文整體應該怎么寫呢? 從歷年真題的Directions部分,考生可以看出來,圖畫作文的寫作包含三個方面:一是描述圖畫(description);二是解釋含義(intended meaning),即圖片反映了什么問題;三是發表觀點(comment),指出某種現象產生的原因、利弊以及改進的建議等。每個方面可寫成一個段落。本文就先來介紹描述圖畫的段落如何寫。
簡單而言,考研大作文的圖畫描述段落包含“一個引入句型”+“具體描述”,“具體描述”一般寫清楚圖片中的人在做什么事就好。引入句型的基本意思就是“如圖所示……”, 其實這個意思的各種句型考官都看濫了,所以大家不必糾結此句,簡單明了地寫就行。下面筆者列出可參考的三個句型。
① As is 副詞 depicted in the 形容詞 cartoon, +句子
例:As is vividly depicted in the thought-provoking cartoon, …
② The 形容詞 drawing 副詞 portrays a scene in which +句子
例:The compelling drawing graphically portrays a scene in which …
③ In the center of the 形容詞 picture 動作1 +主體+ who 動作2 ... (此為地點倒裝句)
例:In the center of the enlightening picture stands a football player who is going to shoot the ball.
這些都是可接受的版本,筆者認為它們沒有孰優孰劣之分,考生只要在用詞方面新穎一點就不錯了??忌灰谶@里寫一些“又長又臭的模板句”,例如: ??!多么有趣的圖??!/這張圖初看很有趣,含義很深刻!/最近網絡上的一張圖片吸引了我的注意……這些句子除了給評卷人留下湊字數的感覺外沒有多大意義。
寫完引入句之后,考生就要開始“具體描述”了。描述的內容是什么呢?對于絕大部分圖畫,考生都可以圍繞“誰(主體)做了(動作)什么事”來寫。比如,對于2013年的考研寫作真題,考生可以這樣描述:“一群畢業生(主體)站在(動作)四個不同的選擇面前,在思考(動作)自己該如何選擇?!痹诰唧w描述的時候有幾個注意點,務必引起考生重視。

一幅圖畫不僅能夠反映出“誰在做什么事”,而且能夠反映出人物的表情、心理,圖片中某個元素或事情甚至還有象征寓意。對于這些元素和內容,考生可以作為補充來寫,并非必須要寫。仍以2013年真題為例,考生可以從以下幾個方面來寫。

What arouses our attention is that they do not seem so sure about their future plans and have no idea about which one to choose. 圖畫中出現多個動作時,考生就需要考慮如何連接不同的動作。如果考生的英語基礎較為薄弱,就不要為了句式多樣化而使用自己不懂的語法,可以老實地使用and、but、so等并列連詞連接幾個動作。同時需要注意的是,however、therefore、then等詞是副詞,考生使用這些副詞連接分句時,不能在寫完第一個分句后用逗號斷開,而應該使用分號或句號斷句。對于2013年考研英語(一)大作文的圖畫,考生可以這樣寫。

基礎較好的考生可以用從句來獲得更高的分數。因為一個簡單句里有且只能有一個謂語動詞(使用并列連詞連接動詞或句子的情況除外),所以,當考生要表達多個動作時,其可以用主句表達一個動作,而其他的動作用從句來表達。在寫從句時,考生切記,從句也是句子,因此考生寫的從句不要沒有主語和動詞。從句中比較常用到的是定語從句,下面仍以2013年真題為例。

想要獲得寫作高分的考生也要學會熟練運用非謂語動詞。對于圖畫描述而言,考生首要掌握的就是分詞作伴隨狀語的用法。簡單來說,考生寫句子時,在保留一個句子的謂語動詞的同時,可以把伴隨發生的動作用分詞形式表達:若動作是句子的主語主動發出的,動詞變為現在分詞;若動作是句子的主語承受的,則變為過去分詞。比如針對2013年的圖畫,考生可以用非謂語動詞描述。

這么多年來,考研作文的圖畫一般都有兩個甚至更多點可寫,可否在不同的可寫點之間加上一定的過渡性連接句呢?仍以上述2013年真題為例。
第一段的可寫點可以列出至少兩個:一個是“如圖所示,一群畢業生正站在四條不同的路面前(四條路分別是……)”;另一個是“他們感覺很困惑,不知道該選哪一條”。在這兩個可寫點中,我們可以用類似“What arouses our attention is”(引起我們注意的是)等過渡表達來連接兩個可寫點,請看下面的例句。

What arouses our attention is that they seem quite confused about what they should do after graduation.
