旅行社管理課程比賽《旅行社管理》作為高校旅游管理專業的一門專業主干課程,在人才培養目標中占有重要地位。其課程目標是使學生在具備基本管理理論的基礎上,能從宏觀上對我國旅行社行業的發展現狀和趨勢進行思考和解讀,從微觀上掌握旅行社企業的運作流程和管理規范,成為旅行社行業既懂業務操作又懂企業管理的,善于發現、學習和思考的,具有創新精神的中、高級專門人才。

桂林理工大學旅游旅游管理專業創建于1985年,目前是國家級特色專業和廣西重點學科,每年在全國招收120人左右的學生,在大三分為酒店、景區、旅行社三個專業方向。其旅游管理專業在2006年改為應用型本科,課程體系與原來相比有一定調整,各課程也以應用性為訴求進行了教學改革與調整,《旅行社管理》課程的調整改造正是在這一背景下進行的。

一、《旅行社管理》課程教學開展“旅游線路設計與模擬營銷”比賽的實施過程

1.旅游線路產品設計。全班35人分為7組,自由組合,每組5人。各組針對本組選取的省(區、市、特別行政區),設計一條旅游線路(不允許超出所選行政區范圍)。參加比賽的7條旅游線路設計好以后,掛在桂林理工大學旅游學院網上公開展示。

2.模擬營銷。營銷對象為旅游學院全體同學(以下稱消費者),參賽的7組同學將以各種方法對本組旅游線路作營銷推廣。我們假設旅游學院每位有5000元消費額度,每組旅游線路都有最終報價,當35位同學之一對消費者營銷推廣時,消費者可以:(1)不消費;(2)出價為“最終報價±20%”(這是為了鍛煉35位參賽同學的議價能力)。各小組的本環節得分為本組旅游線路所獲得的模擬消費總額(消費額最高的小組得100分,其余各組按模擬消費總額的比例得分)。消費者進行模擬消費后應簽字確認,并寫明班級、宿舍,方便查證。

3.模擬同業推介。以上兩個環節結束后,各小組在課堂模擬向旅行社同行(本班級同學)講解與演示本組旅游線路,接受同學與教師質詢與評分,教師與全體同學的評分各占同業推介得分的一半權重。

4.比賽計分。最后得分=模擬營銷得分×70%+模擬同業推介得分×30%;本得分為《旅行社管理》課程的平時成績。

整個比賽,共占用10課時,對《旅行社管理》課程的教學起到了良好的配合效果。以下從學生、教師、教學效果等三個方面進行效果分析。

二、成效分析

1.就學生角度而言,本次比賽激發了學生的學習主動性,增強學生間的協作能力,提高了學生的表達能力和溝通能力?!堵眯猩绻芾怼氛n程與社會、行業發展聯系緊密,實用性強,本次比賽既有現實的旅游線路設計,又有貼近社會和行業實際模擬銷售與模擬同業推介,有利于營造輕松和諧的課堂氛圍,激發學生的學習興趣。在本課程比賽后的調查中,90%的同學認可這一教學方式,認為自己興趣大為提高。在本次比賽中,教師從學的角度設計教學典型任務,具有明確的目標指向和操作要求,要求學生全員參與,在全國范圍內收集旅游信息設計旅游線路,讓學生積極運用所學知識大膽地進行發散創造,最大限度地調動了學生的主觀能動性,親身實踐,提高學生分析、解決問題的能力,促進學習過程的自主化。比賽后的調查顯示:95%的同學認為自己的市場推廣能力大幅提高。

2.就教師而言,教師從傳授知識變成了教學活動的設計者、指導者、評價者,在比賽過程中,通過了解學生的情況,不斷發現問題,及時調整教學方式,這有利于提高教師教學水平和教學質量,達到教學相長的目的。據本人學期末的統計,在2012年4~6月本人任教的《旅行社管理》課程期間,課外時間學生共主動聯系我20次,其中15次是在本次比賽期間。

3.就教學效果而言,達到了“以賽促教”目的。通過本次比賽,強調了以學生為主體,課堂教學從學習興趣、行業需要出發,倡導體驗、參與、合作與交流的學習方式,使學習過程成為學生發現問題、大膽實踐、自主學習的過程,比賽完成的過程也是學生主體性得到提高、綜合能力得到發展的過程,實現了教學過程的多贏。本次比賽對《旅行社管理》課程中產品設計、定價策略、銷售渠道、促銷等章節均有較大的輔助教學效果,實現了組織比賽前的“以賽促教”的預期目的。

三、存在的問題與改進對策

1.個別同學在小組中基本不參與工作,濫竽充數。本次比賽小組成員數為5人,本意為鍛煉同學的協作溝通能力,但在這次比賽實踐中出現了能者多勞甚至全勞,而不能者少勞甚至不勞的現象,一些小組能力突出的成員承擔了多數產品設計和模擬營銷的工作,而個別成員則濫竽充數,坐享其成。針對這一現象,作者提出的改進措施有:(1)縮小比賽小組成員人數,把5人改為3人,減小不勞者坐享其成的可能性。(2)在模擬同業推介進行演示介紹時,要求各小組以可以量化的形式報告每個成員所承擔的工作,并由同學與教師對其質詢以判斷其工作質量,計入其個人平時成績。

2.在模擬銷售階段,由于目標市場群體并非實際消費金錢,存在“人情消費”的現象。本次比賽的目標市場群體限制在桂林理工大學旅游學院其他年級專業的同學,本意為方便比賽宣傳及促進旅游學院同學的知識面。但個別小組不對目標群體進行任何本小組旅游線路的宣講,僅依靠人情關系要求對方簽字認可消費額度,這樣就是不可接受的了。對這樣的問題,作者進行的改進為:(1)強調必須產品聯系消費,依靠中立的學生社團進行調查核實,凡各小組提交的消費者確認名單須經校旅游協會向簽字者進行該旅游線路問答,確定該消費者對相關旅游線路有所認識才有效;(2)重罰。凡提交的簽字名單中,經檢查有10%對相關旅游線路的了解不足的,則扣除一半消費額度。

3.在比賽中存在意氣之爭。由于比賽存在競爭,一些同學把日常矛盾帶入比賽,在模擬同業推介環節中,把正常的質詢當作發泄不滿的機會,導致偏離主題,課堂時間拖延,影響教學質量。為避免出現這種情況,對教師的要求就有所提高:教師在課堂中的地位已不再是主導地位,教師應當將舞臺讓給學生,而教師只是本場演出的主持人和引導人。學生在討論中冷場的時候,教師對學生加以鼓勵和引導;學生在討論中跑題的時候,教師對話題加以糾正,學生在討論中過于繁瑣,節奏過慢時,教師對時間加以控制??傊處煹淖饔镁褪潜WC整個模擬同業推介按照原計劃有節奏地進行。
