“審問之”，即對話題作文的有關材料和概念講行仔細地探詢、審問。
1、探詢背景材料，弄清暗示或傾向。
2005年全國使用范圍最廣的第三套高考語文題，背景材料“甲乙兩個好朋友吵架，乙打了甲一拳，甲在沙地上寫了‘今天我的好朋友打了我一拳’。又一次外出時，甲不小心掉進河里，乙把他救了上來，甲在石頭上刻了‘今天我的好朋友救了我一命。乙問甲為什么要這樣記錄，甲說：‘寫在沙地上，是希望大風幫助我忘記；刻在石頭上，是希望刻痕幫助我銘記’，就有明確的暗示：甲忘記仇怨、銘記大恩情的做法是對的。
2．審問題引材料，明確題材的范圍。
如2005年全國卷(三)題引材料“生活中，有許多事情是可以忘記的，有許多事情又是需要銘記的”，就明確了聯系現實生活取材和立意的寫作范圍。
3．審問概念的內涵和外延，深入思考話題的隱含條件和限制。
如2005年北京卷“說安”，安可以解釋為安全、安寧、安逸、安于等，這就明確了寫作的內容。
4．審問作文的限制條件，明確自由度有多大。
如“不少于800字，自定立意，自擬標題，自選文體(不得寫成詩歌)“。
“明辨之”，即辨明話題的內涵和外延，抓準話題的核心?！懊鞅嬖掝}”，實質就是明辨話題地概念，具體的方泫有：
1．詞語比較法。
與別的近義詞或話題比較，準確把握話題的中心概念。如2005年高考天津卷的“留給明天”，把它與“展望明天”“創造明天”“等待明天”“剩下明天”進行比較，就不難發現：“展望”是一種構想，“創造”是一種奮斗，“等待”是心理的期盼，“剩下”是心理的無奈：而“留給”是一種遠見卓識的表現，它足把資源、財富、好的環境、美好傳統、民族精神等大好的毒而右目的地保留給“明天”的人。
2．語素分析法。
分析話題的每個語素，然后整合理解話題的意義。如2005年高考遼寧卷“跑的體驗”，對“跑”“體驗”三個語素的意義進行分析：“跑”即“奔跑”，狹隘意義的跑指具體的“跑”的動作，挖掘潛力有限；寬泛意義的奔跑，是一種實踐活動，鳥兒學飛足“跑”，去了某地可以說“跑一趟”，讀一本書可以說目光“奔跑”，思考一個復雜的問題可以說思想的野馬在“奔跑”等等，挖掘潛力很大?！绑w”即“親身經驗”“體察”，“驗”即“檢查”“查看”，兩者整合指“親身實踐”或“通過實踐認識閣嘲事物”。綜合起來可理解“跑的體驗”就是指“親身實踐的體套或認識”。
3．結構詞性分析法。
分析話題的短語結構和詞性特點，明確思考的重點和方向。如2004年湖北卷“買鏡”屬動賓結構，“買”是一個“拿錢換東兩”的商業行為，“鏡”是名詞，有著豐富的寓意，話題的關鍵是對“鏡”的抽象意義的挖掘。
4．反義推斷法。
運用詞義相反相對的現象對話題進行分析和推斷，明確思考的角度和范圍。如2004年上海卷話題“忙”，其反義詞就足“閑”，將兩者放到一齊來分析，就會發觀，“忙”與“閑”不是絕對的，關鍵取決于個人的心態和思想境界。
5．造句拓展法。
用話題的詞語來造句，打開理解的思路，準確把握話題的內涵。由單個詞或一個短語構成的話題都可用這種方法，如2005年高考山東卷的“雙贏的智慧”，我們就可以造出這樣一些句子來：他有雙贏的智慧，經商中需要雙贏的智慧，中國對外交往中雙贏的智慧，人際交往中雙贏的智慧，集體和個人實現雙贏的智慧，雙贏的智慧來自共同的需要，雙贏的智慧是最好的智慧，雙贏的智慧實現共同發展……這樣有多少造多少，思路得以開闊，對話題的理解也就活了。
6．語段揣摩法。
無話題的材料作文，分析材料中心，揣摩材料的情味是準確審題的關鍵。如2005年上海卷要求寫流行文化對我們成長的影響，三段背景材料列舉了武俠、言情、韓刪、卡通等現象，審題時思考點就應該圍繞此現象，入乎其中地體悟，出乎其外地客觀分析，然后提出自己的觀點或中心。
7．情味揣摩法。
揣摩話題的情味，準確理解題旨的意義。如今年廣東卷的再題“紀念”，寫作時就要弄清“紀念”一詞的情味是褒揚的。如寫紀念勝利60周年，就一定帶有懷念勝利的成份，帶有對正義與和平勝利的珍惜之情，絕不能只寫銘記歷史教訓，不忘歷史的恥辱。
8．明辨關系法。
對關系型話題作文，弄清概念之間的關系是審準題的關鍵。概念間的關系，我們除了套用復句間的關系外，還可考慮辯證關系，發展關系等。今年全國卷三套題都是關系型話題，其中第一套“出人意料和情理之中”，第二套“位置與價值”，第三套“銘記與忘記”。從總體看三個套題都是辯證統一的關系，但具體分析，還有不同：“出人意料和情理之中”，前面是前提，后面是結果；“位置和價值”，前者是條件，后者是哥評判角度；“銘記與忘記”，是具體問題具體分析的選擇關系。只有這樣深入思考，才能準確審出題意。
9．圖形聯想法。
對圖形類話題，找到圖形與生活現象的相似點是把握題旨的關鍵。當然這個相似點可以不止一個，只要恰切即可。如畫一個圓，讓學生聯想作文，就既可寫“十五月兒圓”，又可寫“車輪滾滾”，還可寫“圓眼睛”“圓滑”“圓臉”等等。如今年福建卷的“圓與星形”的聯想作文，可根據圖形下面的文字??“我規范，我穩定，我周長短，面積大”和“我新穎，我多變，我周長長，面積小”來聯想，這樣它就成了相容性選擇關系話題了。
l0．寓意分析法。
對寓意性話題，只有分析寓意，才能審準話題。如今年浙江卷的“一枝一葉一世界”，其中“一枝一葉”，寓指生活中的細小事物、細小的情節或細小的動作等，“一世界”就指反映的內容豐富，意義重大等。
“慎思之”，即謹慎地思考話題的現實意義，尋找它和生活現象的聯系點或相似點?！拔恼潞蠟闀r為著”，這是古人一直倡導的現實主義文風，這在今天也必須堅持?？捎械膶W生就是忽略了這一點，編故事不考慮當今的時代特點，議論不思考能否針對現實問題，寓言、科幻離開了社會環境……這就形成了浮躁的文風和虛假的作文態度。
我們所說的現實性包括兩個方面：一是抒發真實的情感，以情感鼓舞人；二是解決現實的認識或思想問題，以思想啟迪人。
審題時，我們要謹慎思考的有四個方面：一是圍繞話題町以想到些什么現實中的人和事；二是這些人和事可從哪個角度切入；三是怎樣表達自己的思想或認識，是記敘描寫，還是議論抒情；四是我的思想是不是做到了與時俱進，辯證深入。只有把這四個方面理清了，思路才算明晰了。

話題作文通過提示語設定寫作范圍，給出的提示性語句一般有良好的導向性，便于學生選取切入角度，輕松作文。但從學生作文現狀來看，存在的主要問題是：“話”不真實，“話”不健康、不正確，“俗話”“套話”“廢話”一大堆。鑒于此，就“話題作文”該寫什么“話”，給同學們談四點意見：
一、寫熟悉的“興趣話”
同學們作文時應該寫自己熟悉的事、熟悉的人，熟才能生巧，才能在有限的考試時間內完成600字左右的文章。當然，僅僅是“熟悉”的“話”還不行，還得是自己感興趣的想寫想說的“話”，有些“話”很熟悉卻不感興趣，這盡量不去寫，有些“話”既熟悉又感興趣，這便是要力求寫的“話”。如一位同學在《生活隨想》中寫道：
《零下一度》被我弄丟了，食堂吃飯時不見的。還有一小段沒看完就不見了。天啊，我的《零下一度》，我的韓寒！
從韓寒的《三重門》開始，我就喜歡他的文章，犀利、幽默中帶著一些叛逆。大人們說：那小子，光憑著寫幾篇文章，是不會有大出息的，因為他的數理化全部掛紅燈，還因此留過級呢！可韓寒還是繼續筆伐應試教育。呵呵！我喜歡！也許是我的數理化也時常不及格吧！

二、寫活潑的“學生話”
“學生話”是什么樣的話呢？我認為首先是活潑的，其次是有文采，最后還應是發展變化的。下面選取了2003年中考滿分作文（吉林?。┲械囊粋€片斷，讓同學們來品評一下“學生話”的魅力。
陶醉于婉轉起伏的音樂中，我讀懂了“大江東去”的雄壯，感受“無言獨上西樓”“只是朱顏改”的心境，體會“隨風潛入夜，潤物細無聲”的美妙，聆聽“楊柳岸曉風殘月”的婉約。
音樂在冰釋的流水中激蕩回腸，我的思緒不知不覺走進了硝煙彌漫，鼓聲連綿的三國稱雄時代——
三、寫時髦的“新鮮話”
所謂時髦的“新鮮話”就是要有很強的時代性，要體現時代精神。我以為“時髦的新鮮話”應該具備三個特點：一是時效性強，二是有意義、有價值，三是備受青睞。如“三峽電站”“三峽移民”“洪災”“SARS”“2008中國奧運”之類的事肯定是“時髦的”而且“新鮮的”。如2003年中考重慶市一考生以兩封書信寫就的《責任》贏得閱卷老師的一致好評。小作者以父親寫給兒子，要求托人幫忙不搬遷。兒子回信給父親，以“舍小家為大家”的積極進步的觀念勸說父親，最后完成了移民的任務。這就是“以小見大”的典范文章，以父子倆的思想行動來反映廣大人民群眾對“移民”的理解和支持?？傊?，“時髦的新鮮話”是話題作文寫“話”的關鍵所在。只有如此，話題作文才會吸引人，才有發展的道路。
話題作文擬題的四個“五”
作文擬題指導追求的五個目的：新穎性、醒目性、點睛性、文采性、豐富性。
作文擬題的五個要求：
1.標題范圍要小，不要太大太泛；要合理出新，不落俗套。如果標題萬一太大，可用副標題的方式加以限制。
2.標題不能過長，過長顯得松散。多用詞語或短語，一般不用句子。
3.標題要含蓄，含蓄能起到言有盡而意無窮的作用，且能加深閱卷老師對文章內容的印象和體會。
4.標題不能等同于話題。
5.標題應根據文體擬題。
作文擬題的五個方法：
1.修辭式：
（1）比喻：《為感情裝上濾網》《乘著理智的翅膀飛翔》《在認知的天平上不要加感情的砝碼》；《誠信是金》《誠信是那片潔凈的綠葉》《誠信——開啟未來的鑰匙》。
（2）反問：《難道無情就是真豪杰》；《人生豈可丟誠信？》。
（3）設問：《霧里看花，行嗎？》《簾布背后是美人嗎？》。
（4）借代：《愿生命化作那朵蓮花》；《黃河需要誠信》。
（5）對偶：《兼聽則明，偏聽則暗》；《點燃誠信之燈，照亮人生長路》。
（6）擬人：《別讓感情去挑認知的擔子》；《百元假鈔的自述》《“誠信”漂流記》。
（7）呼告：《朋友，請擦亮你的眼睛》《人啊，請走出親情的旋渦》；《誠信，歸來兮》。
（8）引用：《道是無情卻有情》《只緣身在此山中》；《咬定青山不放松》。
2.化用式：《都是“情”字惹的禍》《怎一個“親”字了的》《是對是錯總關情》《感情與理智齊飛》《天若有情天亦錯》；《世間有百媚千紅，我獨愛誠信這一種》《誠信，直叫人生死相許》《若為人生故，誠信不可拋》。
3.懸念式：《如果情為主宰……》；《假如沒有了誠信……》
4.公式式：采用數學的形式作標題，借以昭示所要表達的主旨，具有直觀、醒目、富有哲理、吸引人等特點，往往收到出奇制勝之效。數學中的恒等式《情感+理智=完美人生》、不等式《感情親疏≠正確認知》《理智>情感》；
5.反常式：《拍賣誠信》《打撈誠信》
作文擬題的五個取材范圍：（以“比”和“珍惜”話題為例）
1.詩詞佳句。
文質兼美的詩詞佳句或富有哲理、或形象生動，是“語言的珍珠”，歷來為人們所喜愛。《若為人生故，比拼不可拋》《誰言寸草心，報得三春暉》《流光容易把人拋》。
2.流行歌曲。
中學生喜歡的歌曲是他們積累的巨大財富，用歌詞做題目會使文章充滿浪漫詩意。《何不瀟灑“比”一回》《都是“攀比”惹的禍》《把握生命里的每一分鐘》等。
3.用成語做題目典雅莊重。
《尺有所短，寸有所長》《他山之石，可以攻玉》。
4.廣告詞。
《遠離，珍惜生命》《比拼，一切皆有可能》《生命不息，比拼不已》。
5.用俗語，口語做題目生動形象。
