鑒于此，立足于學生的長足發展，為了更好地促進學生個性特長的發揮，促進學生語文綜合素養的提高，筆者認為，在新課程下高中語文作業設計應趨向多元化，體現個性化。
一、尊重個性的差異，作業內容多樣化
新課程下只有立足于學生實際，秉著“以人為本、尊重個性差異”的理念，才能實現“多元化評價學生”的可能。因而，語文教師在設計作業時也應該立足于學生的實際現狀，打破傳統所有學生做同樣的練習題的單一局面，應該在既可以鍛煉大家基礎能力的同時，也應該在“尊重個性差異”的基礎上充分把握學生本身實際，并根據學生語文素養的高低和自身特長等諸多因素，讓設計的作業內容盡量趨于多樣化。
比如教師在完成一首古詩的教學后，設計作業時就可以根據學生不同的個性差異，一方面讓基礎較為薄弱、遷移拓展能力暫時有困難的學生或通過基礎習題、或通過背誦課文等方式反復加深對文本的理解，為以后知識的遷移拓展打下扎實的基礎；另一方面讓那一些基礎比較扎實、知識遷移拓展能力相對較強的學生在掌握文本的情況下，可以嘗試通過改寫、仿寫、課外比較閱讀等方式，為他們提供發揮各自特長的機會，促進他們有個性地發展。
事實上這有利于培養學生學習的興趣和提高學生的語文素養，某種程度上也正好體現了新課程下“促進學生均衡而有個性的發展”的理念。
二、教材緊密結合生活，作業形式多樣化
新課程標準指出：“高中語文課程應注重應用，加強與社會發展、科技進步的聯系，加強與其他課程的溝通，以適應現實生活或學生自我發展的需要?！睂嶋H上這就明確強調了語文學習必須要理論聯系實際，要與生活緊密結合，我們應該等同看待語文和生活的外延。因而，教師在語文作業的設計上不僅要促進學生均衡而有個性的發展，而且還要關注身邊事情、留意生活的內容，讓語文作業形式多樣化。
例如學習完鄭愁予的《錯誤》后，可以嘗試設計以下作業題（任選一題）：
1. 以個人或小組的形式到圖書館查找有關在中國古典詩詞中出現過的類似的“美麗的錯誤”，并做簡要分析。（口語、書面表達均可）
2. 嘗試把文本改寫成短幕劇并表演。
3. 辯論：“美麗的錯誤”是誰造成的？（正方觀點：過客；反方觀點：思婦。）
4. 羅大佑演唱的歌曲《錯誤》與文本在表達藝術上有哪些異同？
實踐表明，設計這些作業內容不僅激發了學生積極參與的興趣，而且還極大程度地開拓了他們的視野，增強了他們的合作探索意識，提高了學生的語文素養，最終促進了學生的自我發展。
三、打破傳統教學觀念，突破時空局限
傳統的教學觀念導致教師往往把完成語文作業的時空轉移到了課堂之外，事實上這正是沒有清楚地看到什么才是真正課堂的最優化的結果。教師應該打破傳統教學觀念，突破作業設計的時空限制，提倡新課程下的語文課堂留
出充足的時間，在完成教學任務的同時，應該立足學生的實際， 設計適量有針對性的作業旨在培養學生舉一反
三、觸類旁通能力。
筆者曾經嘗試過：在講授完《米洛斯的維納斯》后就趁熱打鐵讓學生來分析“殘缺的是否一定就是美的”，學生參與討論甚至爭辯的熱烈場面真是讓人驚喜。這樣既鍛煉了學生的思辨能力，同時又加深了學生對文本內涵的真正理解，進而推而廣之，讓學生拓展延伸到對藝術內涵的真正理解。
值得慎重的是，新課程下要在班級教學中做好這一點，教師不可像傳統教學中那樣急于求成的搞一刀切，非要所有學生把作業按統一格式寫在作業本上，而忽視現在的學生大都思維活躍，極富創意的，這樣機械的模式一以貫之，很容易挫傷學生學習的積極性。反之，如果教師因材施教、因勢利導，完全可以“百家爭鳴、百花齊放”。在新課程改革呼聲日益高漲的今天，在新課標的指引下，我們語文教師也要有與時俱進的勇氣，不斷反思語文教育的諸多細節，更新觀念、大膽探索。
