祖國的六十一年是經濟迅速裂變的六十一年，從內外交困到經濟騰飛，從閉關鎖國到改革開放，從經濟末流到世界排名第三，祖國擺脫了貧窮和落后，走向了繁榮和富強。
祖國的六十年是民族振興的六十一年，從抗美援朝到港澳回歸，從“東亞病夫”的屈辱到北京奧運的輝煌，從“兩彈一星”到嫦娥奔月、神七飛天，中華民族走過了受人欺辱的歷史，實現了東亞巨龍的夢想。
祖國的六十一年是群眾安居樂業的六十一年，從極度貧困到邁入小康，從溫飽不足到消費時尚，從農業起家到加快推進工業化、城市化，億萬群眾告別了靠天吃飯，完成了發家致富的愿望。
xx年也是漯河經濟開發區不平凡的一年，跟隨著祖國61年的步伐，開發區也走過她十七年的征程。開發區成立之初，基礎差，底子薄，項目少，開發區黨工委領導帶領開發區管委會全體干部不等、不靠、不要，一抓基礎設施、項目建設，完善投資環境，提高服務水平，加快城鎮改造;二抓資本運作、招商引資，遠離戚友親朋，熬過酷暑嚴冬，跑遍大江南北，找資金，引項目，上政策，進技術。十七年篳路藍縷、十七年開拓創新，十七年鑄就輝煌。開發區拓展了發展空間，壯大了發展實力，形成了發展優勢，成為了漯河市工業經濟的領軍者，實現了從臟、亂、差的城鄉結合部向工業發達、交通便利的現代城市的轉變，向經濟繁榮、社會和諧、環境優美的生態新區的轉變。
如今，在黨和國家“保增長、擴內需、調結構、促發展”等一系列利好政策的推動下，開發區正以“提升工業化、突出特色化、加快城市化、實現現代化”的標準，向建設“生態型、創新型、和諧型”的食品工業園區穩步邁進。一幢幢高樓平地而起，一條條馬路延伸而去，一個個名企接踵而至。開發區以自己的忙碌展示著她的繁榮，以發達的工業展現著她的實力，以宜人的環境彰顯著她的優美。開發區正以她突出的區位優勢、完善的基礎設施、優良的投資環境、強勁的經濟增長、美好的發展前景，吸引著各方賓朋。
