一、任務的設計要有目的性

學生的學習活動應具有明確的目標和具體操作要求。在開展教學活動之前,教師必須布置好上課時將用到的相關知識、語言材料,使學生在明確的目的下去預習、去準備,從而獲得相關知識,訓練語言。如在教學八年級上冊 Unit 9“When was he born?” 的第一課時,話題主要圍繞談論名人,可充分利用這個主題,根據學生喜歡追隨新鮮事物,對歌星、球星、電影明星較為感興趣的心理特點,在教學本課之前,可給學生布置“pre-task”,要求學生對自己所喜歡的各類明星的外貌、性格、職業、出生年月以及愛好等方面的圖片、個人相關材料或相關網絡信息進行搜集,上課時要求把他們自己所收集的圖片、材料、信息等資料都拿出來進行分組交流。由于學生對名人比較熟悉,他們有話可說,有事可做,課堂上討論熱烈,氣氛活躍,學生參與欲和表現欲強,課堂教學很快進入。就這樣,學生在教師預設的教學目的、真實模擬情景中體會語言、掌握語言,并在快樂中完成了學習任務。

二、任務的設計要有趣味性

學生的學習興趣與學習效果和興趣愛好密切相關。因此,教師在設計教學活動時應盡量貼近學生的生活經驗和興趣。如在教學七年級上冊Unit 6“Do you like bananas?”的第一課時,在這pre-task階段,可把apples,bananas,pears,oranges,hamburgers,cakes…等水果和食品放在一個手提袋里,然后把袋子放在講臺上,接著就問學生:Who can guess?What are they?If you guess them out,I will give them to you. 這時學生們就躍躍欲試、盡力猜想,“I think it’s an apple.”“I think it’s a cake.”“I think it’s a pear.”當水果和食品一一被猜出之后,又問學生:Do you like it?Does he/she like it? 這時學生就搶著回答:I like it very much. He/She doesn’t like it at all. 通過讓學生猜測食物,來導入這課的主題“food”,“likes and dislikes”,從而激發學生的興趣和學習欲望。學生爭先恐后大膽猜測,氣氛活躍,自然進入預設情景中,為一節好課做了鋪墊。用貼近學生生活實際而設計的教學活動來喚起學生的學習興趣,并且達到運用英語進行交際的目的。

三、任務的設計要有真實性

在英語課堂教學中要盡量創造真實或接近于真實的環境,讓學生盡可能多地接觸和加工真實的語言信息,使他們在課堂上使用的語言和技能在實際生活中同樣能得到有效的應用。如在教新目標英語七年級(下)Uint 2 “Where is the post office”時(要求學生掌握問路和指路的表達方式),可畫一幅本市的地圖,并用相機照了一些標志性建筑物的照片,制作成多媒體課件。當學生看到一張張精美的照片和真實動感的畫面時,學生的注意力和興趣立刻被喚起,他們無不為家鄉的美麗而驕傲,更為家鄉的巨變而自豪。接下來,教學方位介詞next to,between,across,from,on等,然后讓學生描述各種建筑物的不同方位,最后讓學生問路及指示方向。學生在這一真實的情景中高度亢奮,爭先恐后地表現自己,并在幫助他人的過程中體驗到了成功與快樂。

四、任務的設計要有層次性

教師要從實際出發,針對學生的個性差異和智力發展情況,對不同層次的學生實施不同的任務要求,吸引全體學生參與,而不是讓能力強和水平高的學生參與,這樣任務型教學模式也就不會流于形式。如進行訓練時,對于基礎較差的學生,可要說出其中的人物、時間、地點或簡單的一兩句話;對于基礎一般的學生可要求做True/False練習;對于成績較好性格內向的學生可要求簡要復述故事情節;對于成績較好且外向的學生可要求表演。教師針對不同層次的學生提出不同的要求,可使每個學生都體驗成功,從而激發其學習的興趣。

五、任務的設計要有多樣性
