Lan and Fred were boys. They were both twelve years old, and they were in the same clain their school. Last Friday afternoon they had a fight in class, and their teacher was very angry. He said to both of them, “Stay here after the lessons this afternoon, and write your names a thousand times.” After the last lesson, all the other boys went home, but Lan and Fred stayed in the classroom with their teacher and begin writing their names.

Then Fred began crying.

The teacher looked at him and said,” Why are you crying, Fred?”

“Because his name’s Lan May, and mine’s Frederick Hollingsworth,” Fred said.

本文對高師院校大學生演講焦慮及其應付方式作了相關分析。

1 對象與方法

1.1 對象 根據分層隨機抽樣的方法,從四川省四所本科師范院校抽取500名1 - 4年級大學生,其中男生150人,女生350人(符合目前高師院校男女學生比例),收回有效問卷486份(男生144份,女生342份)。用演說者信心自評量表施測,篩選出高演講焦慮組(得20分以上者) 31人,其中男12人、女19人,平均年齡20歲;低演講焦慮組(得5分以下者)36人, 其中男11人、女25 人,平均年齡20歲。

1.2 方法

1.2.1Paul的演說者信心自評量表(PRCS)[1]。PRCS由30個題目構成, 量表條目按“是,否”方式回答,其中一半答案為“是”時得分,另一半答案為“否”時得分,以控制答題中的趨同效應,得分范圍從0至30。得分越高,焦慮程度越高。相隔一學期重測相關系數為0.61。

1.2.2應付方式問卷[2]。共62個題目,包括解決問題、自責、求助、幻想、回避、合理化六個因子,每個項目有是和否兩個答案。六個應付因子重測相關系數分別為0.72、0.62、0.69、0.72、0.67、0.72(P

1.3 統計方法 t 檢驗。

2 結果

2.1 高師院校不同年級大學生演講焦慮得分比較 大一學生演講焦慮得分顯著高于大二、大三學生(13.6±7.6/11.1±6.8,t=2.59,P =0.009;13.6±7.6/10.9±6.6,t=2.87,P =0.007),大四學生得分也顯著高于大二、大三學生(14.1±8.1/11.1±6.8,t=3.20,P =0.002;14.1±8.1/10.9±6.57,t=3.56,P =0.001)。

2.2 高師院校大學生演講焦慮與應對方式得分的相關分析 高師院校大學生演講焦慮與解決問題、求助因子得分呈負相關(r值分別為-0.411,-0.214);與自責、合理化、回避、幻想因子得分呈正相關(r值分別為0.378,0.297,0.356,0.169)。

2.3 高師院校不同演講焦慮水平大學生應付方式得分比較 高師院校大學生低演講焦慮組比高演講焦慮組更多采用問題解決的應付方式(0.72±0.22/0.59±0.26,t =3.87,P =0.000);高演講焦慮組比低演講焦慮組更多采用自責(0.55±0.22/0.40±0.20,t =2.88,P = 0.009)、合理化(0.51±0.26/0.37±0.21,t = 2.40,P = 0.020)、回避(0.52±0.25/0.36±0.19,t =2.91,P = 0.008)、幻想(0.38 ±0.20/0.27±0.19,t = 2.27,P = 0.033)的應付方式;兩組在求助因子的應付方式上無顯著性差異,但高演講焦慮組女大學生比男大學生更多采用求助的應付方式(0.65±0.23/0.43±0.18,t =2.73,P=0.011)。

3 討論

本研究顯示高師院校大學生各年級學生的演講焦慮水平不一,大一和大四學生的演講焦慮水平顯著高于大二和大三學生的演講焦慮水平。對大一新生而言,可能是由于當眾演說與言語表達鍛煉機會較少,自我表現能力欠缺和訓練不夠所致。隨著大學學習經驗與知識的積累,大學生的演講心理素質與能力普遍得到提高。大四學生的演講焦慮水平與大二、大三學生相比差異顯著,與黃光揚1996年的結果不一致[3],可能是當前大四學生較以前的學生具有更大的就業壓力而存在普遍的焦慮。

本調查顯示高演講焦慮組較少采用問題解決,更多采用自責、回避、合理化與幻想的應付方式。高師院校大學生高演講焦慮組中,女生比男生更多采用求助的應付方式,與有些研究相反[4]。可做是高師院校中女生人數較男生占絕對優勢,女生意識到自身的生存與發展過程中可能遇到比男生更多的困難,女生在就業與立業方面所面臨的壓力更大,這使她們具有更為強烈的參與意識、競爭意識、社會責任意識;另一方面,相對于男生而言,女生具有更大的言語與演講優勢。同時,高師院校女生人數比例大,女大學生的相關活動及鍛煉機會比男生多些。
